he S.DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, which is located at 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. in Woonsocket, opened its doors in March of 1998, by Susan DiPardo, who is Sole-proprietor, Funeral Director and Registered Embalmer, obtaining an Associate Degree in Funeral Service from, New England Institute of Embalming, at Mt. Ida College, Newton, Mass. in May of 1997, and hold a license in the State of R.I. I also obtained an Associates Degree in Nursing from CCRI.in l991, and work as a Registered Nurse at Landmark Medical Center. I also hold a License in Hairdressing and Cosmetology. I was married to the late James P. DiPardo, a successful Funeral Director and Registered embalmer in the city of Woonsocket, for several years. I have four children, Christopher J., Stephen M., and Angela L., and Kenneth J. DiPardo., and six grandchildren, Samantha, Demetrius, D’Angelo, Kate, Emma, and DaVinci DiPardo.
The Funeral Home is spacious enough to be able to handle more than one service at a time. It is handicap accessible; the interior is of Victorian design, giving a warm and comfortable setting in your time sorrow. The staff at the Funeral Home includes Marc Lavallee, who has been working, with the family for 30 years. Kenneth J. DiPardo, who has worked in this type of business, since childhood ,and also with me since the Funeral Home opened, and is studying to obtained his license to carry on the family tradition. Romeo Turgeon, is serving his internship at the Funeral Home and will obtain his degree, and license upon completion. My sons, Christopher and Stephen, and daughter Angela, also work at the funeral home, in a variety of ways.
